This will be a quick reminder for myself on how you can remote console via SSH on HP Blade Server and Standalone Servers 🙂

1. Connect to the ilo using SSH, Whether its with PuTTy (Windows) or Terminal (MacOSX or Linux) with the super or admin user and pass.
ssh [email protected]_address

2. Having entered onto the server now via ilo, you will be able to connect to the remote console by either using the commands TEXTCONS or VSP

  • The Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) has been designed to provide feedback during the POST process as a -Out (iLO) blinks the Server Health LED during the boot process to enable the onsite administrator the results of the POST.
  • HP Integrity rx3600 and rx6600 Server Components. ILO 2 MP Status LEDs.

On Mac, it's called Preferences and you can find it on the application menu ('3-bar' menu button) or the Firefox menu on the classic menu bar.

TEXTCONS

TEXTCONS is short for text console. When I used TEXTCONS, I got this output Monitor is in graphics mode or an unsupported text mode.

From some quick reading it appears that some OS do not supported access using TEXTCONS, which is no help for me, however this is one way!

VSP

VSP is Virtual Serial Port. As the name suggests it is the virtual port, that is the same as, if you connected a serial cable onto the server. This worked a treat for me, so I am happy now 😀

It is important to note as well, there some OS that don’t support TEXTCONS or VSP. I had installed ESXi 6 on the blade and although it didn’t give me an error I wasn’t able to get any output. So this can be a little hit and miss at times. Its something I probably should look into but when i have some time in the future!

Configure Firefox On Mac For Java Ilo4 Remote Access Password

I am on OSX.7.5 (old machine, cannot update.) Was just upgraded to Firefox 41.0.1. I can no longer select from any drop down list on any website. Prior to the upgrade, I could always select from drop down menus or autofill. There have been no other updates to any other software prior to this problem showing up. A few examples are:- I go to a website where it is asking for Name, Address, etc. The window shows up with prior entries, but I cannot highlight and select any option.- I am entering data such as credit card info, where I am required to select entries for the card type, expiration date, etc. Again, I cannot highlight or select my entries.

In most cases, I can type the entry (the whole thing, not just the first few characters) and hit 'enter,' to fill in the field. However, this is both annoying and does not always work.

I have restarted in Safe mode; no change to this problem. I have tried using autofill-type AddOns; still get the same problem.

Vuze plus activation code 2016. Any ideas? Thanks.
